Steps To Take After Unlocking Fastlink Modem, Glo Modem, Zain Modem,Etisalat Modem With IMEI Number

It is no more News that you can unlock your 3G Faslink Modem, Unlock Glo Modem, Unlock Zain Modem, Unlock Etisalat Modem and turn them to Universal Modems with which you can use any SIM card of any network of your choice. This is been possible with the help of Unlocking Softwares which require mainly the IMEI number of your Modem for them to calculate the unlocking code for you within a click of a button.

What To Do After Receiving The Unlock Code

Once you have your unlock code handy, insert a SIM CARD different from the network that originally owns the modem i.e if you have MTN Fastlink modem, remove the MTN SIM and replace it with maybe Glo, Zain or Etisalat SIM. Thereafter, plug your modem back into your computer. After some seconds, you should then see a small window in which you can input the Unlock code. The picture below is what the small window normally looks like.


Type in the unlock code correctly inside the small window and click enter. If the unlocking is successfull, the small window will disappear meaning that your 3G modem has been successfully unlocked

NOTE: If any small window DID NOT pop up, then it simply means your modem is not locked. To confirm this, you should also see the name of the new network, lets say Glo, appearing next to the network bars at the lower left corner of the modem's dashboard.

How To Make Money Unlocking 3G Modems With/Without a Software

You will have to unlock your MTN modem for you to be able to use another SIM card of another network with it. The type of MTN Fastlink modem you are using will determine how it will be unlocked. As at the time of publishing this post, your MTN Fastlink modem will either be Huawei MTN Fastlink or ZTE MTN Fastlink.

If it is Huawei MTN Fastlink, i.e manufactured by Huawei, I can unlock it for you online by generating the unlock code for you, using the imei number of your MTN Fastlink Modem.

Once I send you the unlock code, all you will have to do is to insert another SIM card of another network into the modem. Once plugged in, you will see a small window asking you for the unlock code. Once you enter the unlock code you received from me, the MTN Fastlink will be unlocked. Once unlocked, you will see the network bars of the network of the SIM inserted displayed on the dashboard of the modem. Colour or the logo of the MTN Fastlink dashboard will not change.

Germany Government Warns User's of Internet Explorer Security

The German government's information security agency has issued a warning recommending that users should stop using Microsoft’s Internet Explorer until the company releases an fix for a recently-discovered hole in the browser.

Germany's Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), the agency that looks after IT security for the country's federal government, is urging individuals and companies to stop using Internet Explorer.

The warning comes after the news that zero-day exploits are already in the wild for a security hole that affects Internet Explorer, versions 6 to 9. According to the BSI, it is more than likely that criminals will use these vulnerabilities to target users.

As there is no fix for the flaw currently available, the BSI is recommending users ditch IE until Microsoft releases a patch.
